Interior Designer
2-5 Years of Experience
OVERVIEW
As a designer at WPA, our role is to combine creativity and technical knowledge to produce functionally beautiful spaces for the client. The lines blur between interior designer and architect, as we approach each project holistically. We work closely with the team of Architects assigned to each project and collaborate from the beginning of concept development and interior programming, all the way through the end of construction administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing programs and leading design from schematic design through construction documents, and installation
- Developing space plans while applying knowledge of building codes and accessibility guidelines
- Creating production drawings
- Finish materials selection, research, and documentation; up-to-date knowledge of materials
- Organizing, preparing, and presenting design solutions in a client context, including presentation and design documents
- Flexibility to focus on a variety of project types with concurrent projects in various stages of development
- Managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
- Maintaining and organizing the design library, ordering samples, and restocking materials as needed for the library
- Contribute to a positive and dynamic office culture, initiatives, and learning programs
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years of relevant multi-family residential, commercial, or hospitality experience
- Interior Design Bachelor’s degree from an accredited interior design program
- Proficiency or knowledge in the use of various BIM, design, and presentation software, ArchiCAD preferred, but includes Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD
- Proficiency or knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office, or similar, and photo editing software, Affinity preferred, but includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Excellent organizational, time management, project planning, writing, and communication skills
- Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Experience interacting with industry professionals and vendors

Project Architect
3-5 Years of Experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program development, regulatory coordination, development of design and technical aspects of projects through construction documents and into construction
- Organizing, preparing, and presenting design and technical solutions in a client context
- Leading BIM efforts at a range of project scales including large complex projects
- Managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
- Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development
- Contribute to a positive and dynamic office culture, initiatives, and learning programs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Architectural License preferred but not required
- 3-5 years of relevant multi-family residential experience preferred
- Ability to foster innovation in design, construction technology, and sustainable design
- Excellent organizational, time management, project planning, and communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of various BIM, design, and presentation software, ArchiCAD preferred, but includes Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop
- Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with team members, clients, consultants, contractors, and jurisdictions
